Hear us play!
Can I pick the songs?
Yes! Feel free to pick songs from our full repertoire list that is available on request. Bear in mind that a 40 minute set would be around 10 songs, and a 60 minute set around 15.
Do I have to pick the songs?
Not at all. You can pick as many or as few songs as you like. Or none at all. We are used to reading the crowd and gauging the right songs to play to keep everyone happy. Picking a handful of songs is usually a good idea so we know the kind of thing you’re expecting.
How long do you play for?
We offer a bespoke service tailored perfectly to your event, so please get in touch to discuss timings. A typical event might consist of 3 x 40 minute or 2 x 60 minute sets.
Can you provide music between your sets?
Yes, each booking includes recorded music between band sets.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes. We always have a valid PLI certificate
Is your equipment PAT tested?
All our equipment is PAT tested annually.
What do Eccentric Pony require to perform?
The band is self sufficient, so we supply everything needed for our performance including PA and lighting rig. We do require a clean power supply and some refreshments / meals for the band and crew. That's usually access to the buffet.
Where will you play?
We will play anywhere! We’re based in the North West of England but regularly play all over the UK and across Europe.
Can you play our first dance?
Yes. If you have any special requests for wedding songs we will do our best to accommodate. However, many couples choose to have a recorded version of their first dance (especially if they’ve been practicing their dance routine!)
My wedding venue has a sound limiter, is that a problem?
Not usually. Many venues have sound limiters and we can work to that level. However, if the limiter is set particularly low you might want to consider the duo rather than the full band. Please get in touch if you’re unsure.
How much space do you need?
That depends on which line-up you require. A full band will need a little more room than a duo, for example. We have played all kinds of venues and spaces. A comfortable set up for the full band would be no less than 4.5m wide and 3m deep.
Do you take requests on the night? It depends on the booking. If the client has chosen a full set list then we would stick to the songs that have been picked. If there is some wiggle room with the set list, we’ll do our best! If we know it, we’ll play it.
I’m ready to book, what happens next?
Just fill out the contact form on our website or get in touch via phone or email. We’ll discuss all the details with you, and then send a contract along with our full terms and conditions. We take a small deposit to secure your booking. You’ll be able to get in touch with us to discuss details or with any questions you might have forgotten right up until your event.
There is no such thing as a silly question and we are always happy to help with any queries.
